Stephanie Sun’s Secret Trip to Taipei

Stephanie Sun at Taipei Taoyuan Airport

According to Appledaily, Stephanie Sun recently made a secret trip to Taipei with her father to discuss the contract for her new album. Following her decision to leave Warner Music in 2007 after working under the label for all her 9 albums, she has had no artiste management deal. As such, she hopes to finalize the contract details with a record company as soon as possible. However, her manager has stated that they will not be revealing the recording company’s name at present.

This new album will be her first album release in 4 years. Her last album, Against The Light (逆光), was released in 2007 and since then, fans have been anxiously waiting for more updates and news regarding a new release.

Well, looks like the wait has paid off! The album is supposedly 80% completed. This time round, Stephanie was also involved in many aspects of the album production including song arrangement and voice mixing. As long as there are parts of the song that she is unsatisfied with, re-recording is definite must-do the very next day. Even though the recording process becomes more complicated, Stephanie has expressed that she now finds joy in her work as she is not restricted by a recording company’s deadlines and can concentrate on producing the music she truly wants her fans to listen to. So let’s all anticipate this new album!
